Day 29 - Thursday

One week and counting!!!!

2 1/2 years ago my husband and I planned a cruise with our 3 best friends.  One month before we were to leave, one of our friends was diagnosed with breast cancer.  We were able to get a voucher for the cruise and put it on hold till she was through chemo, etc.  Well, here we are.  

What a celebration we are going to have!!!! 

Day 28 - Wednesday

Jason cleaning the kitchen after dinner.....wow!!!

He loved playing euchre yesterday and wants to play again tonight.

smart boy knows that we can't play till the kitchen is cleaned up.

I went in the other room to check my email........wow!

Day 27 - Tuesday

We had an ice day and got to use our fireplace!!!

This is a rare occasion in the south!

.....they tell us that Jared and I are smokin' Jason and Steve!!!

Day 26 - Monday

Aahhhhhhhh!!!

That is much better!!

But I have to say that it is really a pain to come home from working, cleaning dishes and cooking, to having to clean your horribly dirty kitchen....then cook dinner!

I hope I have learned my lesson!!!

Day 25 - Sunday

This is what my kitchen looks like as I am turning off the light and going to bed!!

I have been gone all day and am too tired to clean it....

......I don't think it is going any where!

Our friends Stephen and Leah came over for dinner tonight.  I made homemade spaghetti and meatballs!!  yummo!  Leah is a doctor and checked Jared and said if he is not better by monday we should have him tested for mono.....great.

He's only been on antibiotic for 7 hours and has to wear this mask till he's been on it for 24.  This has been a tough day for me and one I won't soon forget!

Jared woke up with 103 degree temp today,

my plans quickly changed!!!

He has tested positive for strep, please pray for him 

as this evening, his fever was up to 103.6!!

I can not remember the last time one of my kids was sick....

hope it ends with him!

We went from 60s to 28 degrees today, with rain!

Though it is cold and messy outside,

it is also very beautiful!

We celebrated Jared's birthday tonight, a day early.

He wants to go to youth tomorrow night instead of celebrating then.

Steve and I host a New Years Day Open House each year.  We have been doing this for over 15 years!  I love having people in my home.  We had a ton of people and lots of kids running all over the house, it was wonderful!!  There is nothing better than to start off the new year with great friends!

Project 365

I have decided to attempt being part of Project 365.  I will be taking one photo each day for the year 2009 and posting it.  

I am so exited to be able to look back at the end of the year and see where God has taken me, blessed me, carried me and loved me!
