Day 151 - Tuesday, May 21

 We had our staff over tonight for a Sushi Party!

Everyone made their own sushi roll and then we all tried each one and voted on who had the best one.  

It was a lot of fun!! 

Day 150 - Monday, May 30

No picture today....I was so relaxed, I forgot!!

We worked in the yard, read books, and had our neighbors over for dinner.  

It was a great day!

Day 149 - Sunday, May 29

 I love it when the teenagers help me out with dramas in CrossWalk.  This is about Solomon trying to figure out who the baby belonged to.  When Solomon said "cut it in half", the boy sitting in the dark shirt gasped!!  they were so in to it!!

 Then we went out side for a survivor type "wisdom" challenge.  some of the things they had to do was eat 10 crackers, memorize scripture, hula hoop.  It was a blast!

Day 148 - Saturday, May 28

Wanna come swimming at my house?!!

With all the storms, we have not been able to open our pool.  However, with the warm temps the algae has overtaken!!!  It's going to take a while to get this mess cleaned up....ugh.

Day 147 - Friday, May 27

 This 1st day of summer started out perfect.....Alyssa made breakfast for everyone!!!

Jared has to play in the band for graduation...I love that he didn't even ask me to iron his clothes!!!

Day 146 - Thursday, May 26

And to be honest, I am not sure why?

The good news though is that we found an apartment for Alyssa!!!  One that is convenient for her and SAFE for me!!!

Made homemade pizza tonight.

Day 140 - Friday, May 20

This is at 1:00 in the afternoon.

It looks a bit light out in this picture but it was so dark from the storm that it seemed like 9:00 at night. You wouldn't believe the amount of rain that came down...really, we might float away.  Rain is on the forecast for the next few days....ugh.

With Alyssa home, we have a 4th for Euchre!

Day 138 - Wednesday, May 18

 Tonight was our senior banquet at church.  We only have 3 seniors graduating this year.  What? you only see 2 on stage?  That's because the 3rd one is in Africa with her parents on the mission field.  so we videoed the evening for her!!!  Such a fun and uplifting night!

Day 137 - Tuesday, May 17

This was my view for 8 1/2 hours today.

The drive was uneventful and we made it home safely!!

Day 136 - Monday, May 16

 The cars are packed....to the BRIM....

 Alyssa made me one last dinner in her kitchen....

...and then it was time to say goodbye to her first home-away-from-home.

Day 135 - Sunday, May 15

Everyone went home today, but I stayed to help Alyssa finish packing up.  Tonight, 2 of her best friends came to the hotel to hang out.  We all snuggled up on the king sized bed and watched the Survivor finale together......SO much fun!!!

Alyssa chose her dad to be part of the ceremony. He escorted her in, hooded her and escorted her out...as a graduate!!

Day 133 - Friday, May 13

 So we had a lot of free time. We met Alyssa in the morning to give the grandparents a tour of the campus and her house.  After lunch a few of us went to the local zoo...it was a gorgeous day for that!!

 seriously...how do they do that?!!!  It was so windy out and they were swaying back a forth but never put the other foot down....crazy!

After grad rehearsal for Steve and Alyssa we all went out to dinner at a local steak house!

Day 132 - Thursday, May 12

We drove 8.5 hours today to Abilene for Alyssa's graduation.

My parents drove in from AZ and Steve's mom flew in from KS.  So happy to have everyone today......but geez do I look like I spent all day driving or what?!!

who cares!  I am so happy to see my daughter!  :)

Day 130 - Tuesday, May 10

Tonight was honors night for our high school.  It's a great time to celebrate all the hard work that these kids have done....and it's amazing....7 National merit finalists in a senior class of 100!!

Jared won most Outstanding Band Student!!!

So proud of him!

Day 129 - Monday, May 9

Tonight I hosted a going away party for my wonderful friend and neighbor, Dena (in the pink dress).  we are all so sad to see her move away, but thankful that we will always have her for our friend!!!

Day 128 - Sunday, May 8

Today was crazy busy.  We had to rush out of church and head to Conway about 30 minutes from LR.  We met my BF and her kids for lunch before we quickly headed over to the auditorium on the UCA campus.  There Jared had his Youth Symphony concert....which of course was awesome!!!

Day 126 - Friday, May 6

 We had a big Luau at the school tonight to celebrate the Fine Arts.

Dinner, art show/auction, drama entertainment and carnival...all ending with a band concert.

Jared is a teaching assistant and directed the beginning band!

So proud of him!

I love our Head of School, he is a super guy.

And I thought it was very cool that he let the kids face paint his head!!!

Day 125 - Thursday, May 5

Got to visit with my friend, Lori, today.  I forgot to take a picture so I took one of your house as I drove away!  Lori and I live in the same area, but met originally by blogging.  I thought she lived in a town about 15 minutes from here, but found out this week that she is practically in my back yard!!!!

Got a new hair cut today.

Why does a new hair cut make you feel so good?

However, you will never see it this straight again....I have not mastering the use of a flat iron, plus I just don't have the patience! :)

Day 123 - Tuesday, May 3

Took this from my car.  This is the AR river and you can't really tell but the water is extremely high!  I tried to get the boat slip with boats still attached to it floating in the river, but missed it as I drove by.  The flooding has done major damage in our area.  Even the interstate from here to Memphis has been closed due to water!! 

Day 122 - Monday, May 2

still raining and seriously COLD today!

I refused to turn on my heat in MAY, so lit a fire....I did cave later in the day and turned the heat on!!

Day 121 - Sunday, May 1

 Arkansas has really been hit hard this spring.  Last night we had a huge storm with flash flooding. So many homes were flooded.  You can see that the water came with in 5 inches of flooding the church foyer.

I marked the two NEW waterfalls we have at the back of our lot...gushing water...crazy!!!

But the good news today is that I finally saw our family of geese!!!  This is their 5 years to come to our church pond that I know of.  I love watching them!!
